A woman came up to a cop car claiming she had taken some kind of drug and needed help, and by the time police had rounded up three of her co-defendants she was also facing charges for what officers found inside of their room at the Polk Motel in Rockmart early Saturday morning.
Police got a warrant to search the room and charged four in total for drug possession, along with charges for one of the suspects who was also found in possession of a handgun hidden in the room as well alongside crack cocaine and marijuana according to reports.
Officers from the Polk County Police first arrived just after midnight on Saturday morning, February 8 when they encountered Adrienne Emma Sue Bradley, 24, of a Rockmart address, in the parking lot. She told police she “had done some sort of drugs” and prompted one officer from PCPD to get an ambulance to meet them and put Bradley in the back of a patrol vehicle to get her to the hospital.
She was later released while police were still investigating without any harm and faces charges as well.
During her ride to get medical help, other officers then determined what room she came from and knocked on the door to discuss what was going on with those inside. Instead when greeted by a suspect, the door was slammed in their face.
Two individuals came out peacefully after being ordered out, and after being placed in cuffs immediately saw “what seemed to be crack cocaine in plain view.” Police requested a warrant and officers with the Rockmart Police got to work.
They also got a warrant for one of the suspect’s vehicle in the parking lot, and after they had been carried off to jail left a copy inside for later inspection.
Police ultimately found two glass pipes in the motel room along with baggies of crack cocaine and marijuana, additional crack cocaine pieces dropped on the floor and a backpack with a loaded handgun under the bed – which also contained a paper copy one of the suspect’s driver’s license.
No information was provided about the search of the vehicle in the report.
The four facing charges included Treylon Tyrese Dennis, 25, of a Rockmart address; Trevis Deonne Peek, 54, of a Rockmart address; Latoya Calice Nixon, 45, of a Cedartown address; and Bradley.
Dennis faces the most charges in the incident including felonies for possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, possession of a firearm by convicted felon or first offender, and possession of firearm or knife during the commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies. He also faces misdemeanor charges of possession and use of drug related objects, possession of marijuana under an ounce and obstructing law enforcement officers.
Nixon and Peek face a felony each for possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, and misdemeanor charges each of possession and use of drug related objects and possession of marijuana under an ounce.
Neither of the three had bond set as of this posting on their cases and remained in custody at the Polk County Jail.
Bradley is facing charges per the PCPD report, but no information was available about them as of this posting.
