Two teens were jailed after they were found drinking underage, and one resisted officers during the incident over the weekend according to Polk County Police reports.
PCPD jailed Russell Ty Emmett Norris, 23, and Tristen Pope, 19, both of Cedartown addresses, were booked into custody on Saturday night after both were found at a Perry Street residence while intoxicated and no longer wanted them there.
Police first encountered Norris, who was “extremely intoxicated” and didn’t want to talk to officers or follow their instructions. He was ultimately taken into custody for obstruction and cuffed without incident.
Then officers turned their attention to Pope, who was found to be drinking underage and was reported to have “an attitude and did not comply with officer’s commands.” He was also taken into custody without incident and both were taken to the Polk County Jail.
Once Norris was at the jail, he began to resist the jail staff and “began to fight” before he was finally put in a restraint chair.
Norris was booked and later released on a $4,200 bond on charges of obstruction of law enforcement officers, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness over the weekend.
Pope was released on a misdemeanor charge of underage possession of alcohol. His bond was set at $500.
