Two people were jailed today on multiple felony charges after they were found with drugs in their White River Road residence, per a Polk County Police press release.

Per the release, officers were aided by the Polk County Drug Task Force and Homeland Security Investigations agents during the raid today at two separate residences. They found cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, and other substances during the raid.

Zydrick K. Mitchell, 23, of a White River Road address, and Joey L. Turner, 42, of a Virginia Circle address, were arrested during the separate raids.

Per PCPD investigators in follow-up queries, multiple electronic devices and drugs were seized from the two residences today.

Mitchell, 23, was charged with multiple counts of possession of marijuana, methamphetamine, cocaine, firearm possession, and for sexual exploitation of children charges.

Turner also faces 45 counts of Sexual Exploitation of Children, a count of possession of methamphetamine, and a count of possession of tools for the commission of a crime.

Bond had not yet been set in either case. Booking information was also not immediately available in either incident.

Police did not provide any further information at this time, including how much drugs were seized during the raid at Mitchell’s residence on White River Road.

Polk County, GA –

             On September 6, 2022, Members of the Polk County Police Department Criminal Investigation Division and Patrol Division executed (2) two search warrants inside of Polk County with the assistance from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and the Polk County Drug Task Force (DTF).  The execution of these search warrants resulted in (2) two arrests.  It should be noted that the two search warrants are the result of separate investigations.          

• Zydrick K. Mitchell 23 of a White River Road address was arrested and charged with the following offenses:
  • 2 Counts of Sexual Exploitation of Children
  • 2 Counts of Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance
  • 1 Count of Possession of Marijuana
  • 1 Count of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
  • 1 Count of Possession of Cocaine
  • 1 Count of Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute
  • 1 Count of Possession of Methamphetamine
  • 1 Count of Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute
  • 1 Count of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime

• Joey L. Turner 42 of a Virginia Circle address was arrested and charged with the following offenses:
  • 45 Counts of Sexual Exploitation of Children
  • 1 Count of Possession of Methamphetamine
  • 1 Count of Tools for the Commission of a Crime
