PCPD: Woman arrested on multiple charges in domestic incident

A Cedartown-area woman was jailed late Saturday on multiple charges after a domestic incident, according to the Polk County Police.

The full report on the arrest of Jennifer Lynn Mullins, 39, of a Cedartown address, did not include full details of the incident but did note that officers arrived at a Fairview Avenue address after reports came into 911 of a heated domestic incident underway on Saturday night, October 21.

Mullins was taken into custody after “investigation” (not part of the full report) on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges. Multiple witnesses were listed by police having watched the events transpire, per the report.

Police also took charges for Heather Lynn Ledbetter, 33, on a public drunkenness charge.

Ledbetter’s booking came after she was taken for treatment by AdventHealth Redmond EMS to the hospital. Ledbetter was released on a $1,400 bond.

Mullins remained in custody on felony charges of aggravated assault, possession of firearm or knife during commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies, cruelty to children in the first degree – deprivation of sustenance. She also faces misdemeanor charges of two counts of cruelty to children in the third degree, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness, four counts of obstruction of law enforcement officers and a single count of simple battery under the family violence act.
