Polk County Police are asking the public’s help in tracking down a suspect in a rape and burglary case that occurred last Wednesday and led to the arrest of two more people on drug charges amid a search for the accused Cedartown man.

Officials are seeking Quincy Brandon Dorsey, 36, of a Cedartown address, last seen on Wednesday night after he was accused of entering a Bennett Road residence and during a burglary was accused of committing a rape.

Dorsey, described as a black male who is 5-foot-10 and 175 pounds, is also being sought on warrants for drug possession charges stemming from an incident that occurred while officers were searching for him last Thursday.

Police went looking for Dorsey at his most known recent address on Collard Valley Road on Thursday and found Brittany M Dorsey, 34, and William Edward Collins II, 42, inside and the house smelling of burned marijuana coming out.

Brittany Dorsey tried to prevent police from entering the house to search, but she and Collins were both detained while officers swept the house seeking out Quincy Dorsey.

Police based on the smell of marijuana went to get a search warrant and kept the pair detained until an officer returned with the proper paperwork. A search around the house yielded marijuana, scales, a grinder, two firearms, a number of THC vapes cartridges and THC gummies, and $849 in cash. Additional drugs and paraphernalia were located on Quincy Dorsey’s room as well.

Brittany Dorsey and Collins were both taken to the Polk County Jail without further incident and booked on hundreds of charges.

Dorsey was released on a $55,500 bond for felony charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon or first offender, possession of firearm or knife during the commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies, 117 counts of possession of a controlled substance – marijuana, 117 counts of possession of a Schedule I or II Controlled Substance with intent, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, and misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana and obstructing law enforcement officers.

Collins was released on a $50,500 bond after he was charged with felonies for manufacture/deliver/distribute/administer/sell/possess with intent to distribute a controlled substance, 117 counts of possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon or first offender, possession of firearm or knife during the commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies, and misdemeanor charges for possession and use of drug-related objects and posession of marijuana.

Quincy Dorsey is still at-large. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact 911 immediately.
