A Cedartown man is being held on multiple felony charges and an investigation continues into accusations of child molestation, per the Cedartown Police.

Rafael Antonio Arevalo, 33, of a Greenbriar Drive Apartment in Cedartown, was jailed late Tuesday afternoon by Cedartown Police after enough probable cause was developed in the open investigation to warrant his arrest, investigators reported.

CPD investigators stated that they are continuing to work the case, and thus far have no other statement for the record at this time.

A full report will be available after their investigation is complete, the Cedartown Police officers looking into the allegations added.

Arevalo remained in the Polk County Jail with bond denied on two felony counts of child molestation, and two felony counts of sexual battery against a child under 16.
