
Police arrested a Cedartown-area man on Thursday morning after they were called out for a domestic incident, per Polk County Police reports.
Toby Wayne Parker, 39, of 1806 Piedmont Hwy., Cedartown, remained in the Polk County Jail with bond denied on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges after police were called out for a domestic incident on Thursday, June 16 around 8:20 a.m.
Polk County Police had few details in the report today, but it did include that police were forced to use a taser to subdue Parker during the incident. He ultimately was taken to jail “without further incident.”
Police charged Parker with felonies for six counts of bribery, five counts of false imprisonment, five counts of simple assault, four counts of cruelty to children in the second degree – negligently causing excessive physical or mental pain, and obstruction of law enforcement officers. Three more misdemeanor charges for obstruction of law enforcement officers and a single charge of criminal trespass.
