Police arrested a trio on drug charges after they were pulled over early Saturday morning in Rockmart by Polk County Police, according to reports.
Dillon Ryan Donley, 27, of 1824 Everett Mountain Road, Rockmart; Mitchell Nora Bryan, 22, of 2565 Cartersville Highway #13, Rockmart; and Autum Nichole Lingerfelt, 34, of 244 Ruff Road, Rockmart were all jailed by the Polk County Police during a traffic stop across from the Handy Andy’s on Piedmont Avenue and Goodyear Avenue on Saturday evening.
The report stated that the trio were stopped in a black GMC Sierra on November 13 just a little before 1:30 a.m. for a broken brake light.
Police noted that Donley – who was driving – didn’t have a license on him, and took the information of the other two passengers before going back to the patrol car to run information after a backup officer arrived.
Donely was questioned by police and told officers that he was giving Bryan and Lingerfelt a ride at the time. While questioning Donely, Bryan told the backup officer he had a gun in his backpack he had found on Atlanta Highway earlier in the day.
Police asked if they could search Bryan further and he agreed, and police found an Ace of Spades playing card folded in his pocket with suspected marijuana resin, and then also found a pipe he admitted he scraped it from a pipe. He was found with a pipe in a wooden container as well.
Bryan was taken into custody, and police moved on to Lingerfelt and Donely. Officers reported that a woman’s name on a slip of paper, along with her license and debit card were found in the truck, along with a wet bag of suspected methamphetamine.
Lingerfelt admitted to police that she had stuffed a bag of marijuana inside of her clothes when police were pulling the trio over. A female officer was called out to retrieve it and search her bag as well, and officers found a grinder within as well.
Police reported that Animal Control also took possession of a small dog that Lingerfelt had with her during the traffic stop.
All three were taken to the Polk County Jail without further incident.
Lingerfelt was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, and misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana, possession and use of drug-related objects, and tampering with evidence and remained in jail with a $7,000 bond. Bryan was also charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, and misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana, possession and use of drug-related objects, and tampering with evidence. He had a $7,000 bond set as of this posting but remained in jail.
Donely was charged with a felony for possession fo marijuana, along with misdemeanors for theft by receiving, no license on person and no operating brake lights/signals.
