POLICE: Two jailed for fight over trash tossed in yard

Two men were booked into the Polk County Jail on Wednesday evening, April 24 after a fight between the two over trash being thrown into the yard.

Terry Dewayne Robinson, 53, and Jeffery Fields, 46, both of Aragon addresses, were ultimately jailed Wednesday night, April 24, for the fight and charged with affray after an altercation ensued when Robinson was accused of throwing trash the yard of Fields’ home and was followed home by Fields and another suspect who was not taken into custody at the time.

Per the report, Robinson told police he had thrown a cup into their yard and was followed home by Fields and the second suspect, who then got into a fistfight with him. Police arrived at Robinson’s home first and found him bloodied from the fight, per the report.

When police questioned Fields, he told officers that Robinson had intentionally thrown the trash into their yard and had previously taken steps to cause the fight to start, including similar trips past the house and altercations in public that were meant to intimidate Fields and his family.

Fields admitted that the second suspect jumped in his truck after the trash was thrown in the yard and followed Robinson home to throw the cup back in his own yard. Fields followed in a second truck, and the report stated that Robinson was alleged to have started the altercation in the front yard.

Police ultimately took Fields and Robinson into custody on the misdemeanor charges.

Both were later released on a $500 bond for the single charge of affray.
