The Polk School District celebrated the 2023 Teacher of the Year during their Tuesday, November 14, 2023 regular session.

Congrats to CHS’ Ashlee Freels as this year’s Polk School District Teacher of the Year. She’ll go onto represent Polk at the next level.

This year’s Teachers from across the district honored included Freels at Cedartown High, Cedartown Middle’s Kelly Camp, Coach Drew Lindsey at Rockmart Middle, Rockmart High’s Steven Eubanks, Chris Jones from the College and Career Academy.

Elementary teachers honored included Chris McKelvey at Cherokee, Megan Smith at Eastside, Cristen Bradshaw at Northside, Desiree Williams at Van Wert, Kirsten Burgess at Westside and Amanda Culberson at Youngs Grove.
