A Rockmart man was raided by the Polk County Drug Task Force and arrested on multiple charges when officers found marijuana, methamphetamine and multiple firearms within a Litchfield Street residence on Friday evening, November 19.

POLK COUNTY – Task Force Agents with the assistance of Cedartown Police K-9 Officer Zuker and K- 9 Bono, Rome Floyd Metro Task Force and Rome Floyd SWAT conducted a search warrant at 232 Litchfield Street Rockmart, GA 30153. During the execution of this search warrant, approximately 6 pounds of Marijuana was recovered along with Methamphetamine, digital scales, and packaging baggies, and multiple firearms were also recovered to include handguns and long rifles.
Michael Brumelow of 232 Litchfield Street, Rockmart GA 30153 was arrested and charged with the following charges: Possession of tools for the commission of a crime, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a controlled substance, Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Marijuana with the intent to distribute.
Randall Smith of 1461 Hiram Douglasville Hwy Hiram GA 30141 was arrested and charged with the following charges: Possession of tools for the commission of a crime, Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and Possession of Methamphetamine.

Due to the combined efforts of the Polk County Drug Task Force, Cedartown Police Department, Cedartown Police K9, Rome Floyd Metro Task Force, Rome Floyd Swat and the Tallapoosa Judicial Circuit DA’s Office, the safety and well-being of the residents of Polk County have been positively impacted as a result of the joint operation. These cases are being prosecuted by the Tallapoosa Judicial Circuit’s District Attorney’s Office.
Brumelow remained in the Polk County Jail with no bond set on the multiple felony charges he faces.
Smith also remained in jail with no bond set on the trio of felony charges he faces after he was arrested in the raid on Friday evening.
