A work session is on the schedule this evening and the public is invited to take part in the meeting at 74 Cline Ingram Jackson Road, Cedartown starting at 5:15 p.m.
Among the items on the agenda for this evening’s session is four delegations, including Brandon Ellis introducing the junior cattleman’s association, Polk County Police Chief Kenny Dodd seeking time to talk about school speed zones, and Sheriff Johnny Moats and Clerk of Superior Court Stacie Baines coming to talk about FY 2021 budget items.
Commissioners will also have bids to discuss from Public Works needs – three different vehicles and a motor to repair a truck already in the fleet – along with a ordinance review committee request on child daycare fencing requirements and reports from the finance, personnel and public works committees.
The board has asked Pastor Barry Snapp to deliver the invocation for the work session this evening.
