Want to get the kids out for Halloween safely and without having to go house to house? There are opportunities to do so this weekend as the spooky season comes to a close on Saturday and Sunday with little goblins and ghouls getting out and about.
Here’s a list of all the Trunk or Treat events (we know of) happening around the County this week:
City of Rockmart (Saturday, 4 to 6 p.m.)

The City of Rockmart will be hosting their second annual Drive-Thru Trick or Treating event at the Nathan Dean Sports Complex off of Nathan Dean Parkway (Highway 278) coming up on October 30 this year in celebration of Halloween. The 2021 event is being held from 4 to 6 p.m. this year, and is a day early since Halloween falls on a Sunday this year.
City of Aragon (Saturday, beginning at 5 p.m.)
The City of Aragon will be providing candy for Trick or Treaters on the weekend of Halloween, but not on the evening itself as their plans include the opportunity for youth to see a fire truck and police cars while they ride around the city limits.
City officials will be getting out the Fire Truck and police will be out on Saturday evening, October 30 at 5 p.m.for Halloween this year.
Aragon Police’s Paul Mazzuca – who is working to re-establish the Aragon Fire Department – will be driving the Fire Truck returned to the city in recent months as other officers help out with handing out candy.
The city is not requiring anyone to Trick or Treat on October 30, but decided to hand out candy on that evening because of the convenience.
Residents who want to take their children Trick or Treating on Halloween night are welcome to do so, per city officials, since they have no control over when people decide to hand out candy in their homes.
Anna Kresge UMC (Saturday, 5 to 6:30 p.m.)

Anna Kresge United Methodist Church in Cedartown will be hosting a Trunk or Treat, but are asking folks to enjoy a drive-thru event this year.
They plan to give out bags under the portico of the church, so are asking everyone to please stay in their vehicles.
The church is located at 15 Booger Hollow Road, Cedartown.
Mosaic Place (Sunday, 4-6 p.m.)

Mosaic Place will hold their Halloween event on Sunday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., and will feature a costume contest, pumpkin painting, and of course, lots of holiday candy and treats for the kids.
Sponsored by Highland Rivers Health, the outdoor event will take place on Sunday, October 31 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. There will be a costume contest, pumpkin painting, and lots of candy and treats for the kids.
For address information, please see the flyer for details.
Second Baptist Cedartown (Sunday, 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.)

Head to Second Baptist Cedartown for their annual Fall Festival this Sunday, October 31, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
There’s fun for the whole family at this festival. Have the kids come in out in their costumes for a Trunk or Treat and a costume contest. The church will also serve hotdogs as refreshment.
