A wanted man took a gamble over the weekend and ultimately lost as he was taken to the Polk County Jail.

Donald Ray Kines, 50, of a Cedartown-area address, was found at Plaza Food Mart by Cedartown Police on Saturday, December 16, when reports came to Cedartown Police officers that he was there with a stolen truck and playing the Ding Ding machines within.

Police arrived at the store, found the 2011 Ford Ranger that was reported stolen parked outside and Kines within on a machine. He was taken into custody.

During his arrest, Kines told police that he had marijuana and a meth pipe inside the truck. They found that along with another pipe and 9 pills of Trazodone Hydrochloride.

Kines was taken onward to the Polk County Jail and charged with a felony for theft by receiving stolen property, and misdemeanors for sale of dangerous drugs and drugs not in original container.

He remained in the Polk County Jail as of this posting n a $11,400 bond.
