Emergency personnel were out this afternoon battling a fire at a junk yard on Collard Valley Road, according to officials.

Polk County Police Chief Kenny Dodd confirmed the fire. There were no injuries reported so far.

Thus far, the only damage reported has been to vehicles in the junk yard.

UPDATE: Officials report that no additional damage occurred in the junk yard fire, only a few vehicles caught fire.

No report yet on what caused the incident.
