
A Cedartown man was jailed and later released on bond after he knocked a victim out with a chokehold last weekend and was booked on a single misdemeanor charge, according to reports.
On Thursday, May 25, Odell Abram, 44, of a Cedartown address, was booked on on a single misdemeanor charge of battery.
Polk County Police reported that he was accused by the victim of being put in a chokehold, knocked out, and Abram threatened a second round before he took a truck that was in Abram’s name from the scene of the victim’s residence on West Rome Highway in Cedartown.
Officers did note they were unable to see any bruising or injuries after looking over the victim in what was reported as a domestic incident.
Abram was released on a $1,000 bond after spending a short amount of time in jail.
