REPORT: Man accused of throwing brick, striking car several times before fleeing

Victor Frank Watson

An Aragon man was released from jail on bond after being booked on felony charges for being alleged to have gotten angry and thrown a brick at a vehicle, then used his own to wreck into the damaged Toyota 4Runner several more times before fleeing, according to Polk County Police reports.

Victor Frank Watson, 37, of an Aragon address, was arrested by officers on Friday and later released on bond for felony charges of aggravated assault and criminal damage to property during a domestic incident.

Per the report, the victim reported on the evening of July 30 that Watson got angry over money while he and the victim were in Cartersville and he was alleged to have struck her in the back of the head. When they returned home to Aragon, Watson still angry then grabbed a brick and threw it at the windshield and hood of the Toyota 4Runner.

When the victim tried to leave, Watson then got into his own car and “began to try to leave in a reckless manner.” He then struck the 4Runner’s driver side, got stuck, and the victim tried to leave again. Watson then rammed the back bumper in his own truck.

As the victim drove away from the residence that evening, Watson followed and while on Old Collard Valley Road, sideswiped the 4Runner and finally fled the scene.

Police noted that the damage to the SUV was estimated at $5,000 and included damage to the front and rear bumpers, both passenger doors, the hood, windshield and driver’s side tail light.

Since Watson fled the scene, police took out warrants for his arrest. He was picked up five days later on the felony charges.

He was released on a $6,000 bond on the pair of felony charges two days after his arrest.
