A Cedartown man who Polk County Police attempted to stop was jailed after he fled a traffic stop and went home in a vehicle that was initially reported stolen, according to a PCPD report filed on Tuesday.
Adrian Jermaine Chubb, 41, of a Cedartown address, was arrested on Tuesday in the driveway of his residence after police attempted to pull him over near the convenience store on Prior Station Road.
Chubb was alleged to have pulled over at first, but then fled from the stop before the officer could approach the car.
Police followed the car to Chubb’s residence, and got Chubb out of the car during a felony stop. He complied without further incident.
Following the arrest, police talked to the owner of the car who said that Chubb took it without permission, but officers determined the Dodge Charger he was driving wasn’t stolen merely borrowed.
He remained in jail on charges of misdemeanor obstruction of law enforcement officers and driving on a suspended license. His bond was set at $2,000.
