
A Cedartown man who fled a domestic altercation earlier in the month was brought back to Polk County to face multiple charges, according to Cedartown Police and Polk County Sheriff’s Office officials at midweek.
William Charles Polk, 25, of 1340 Brooks St., Cedartown, was denied bond on multiple charges after a September 11 domestic altercation that occurred in front of multiple children at his address.
Cedartown Police reported that an argument became heated and he assaulted a woman before Polk drew small revolver and fired it into the air and then fled the scene in a black Chevrolet Cruze.
Police finally caught up with him in recent days and he was brought back to Polk County from Calhoun County, Alabama (Anniston) to face multiple felony charges against him, and remained in jail as of this posting with his bond denied.
His full list of charges included felonies for two counts of theft by taking, and four counts of aggravated assault. He also faces misdemeanor charges for battery, reckless conduct and three counts of cruelty to children in the third degree.
