
A man remained in custody with bond denied after he was accused in an assault late Thursday that ended with his arrest on Friday, according to a Polk County Police reports.
Per the report, Tommy Nicholas Hulsey, 38, of a Cedartown address, officers arrested Hulsey at a Marshall Street address and was taken into custody without incident early Friday morning.
Officers were called out to a Mildred Drive address late Thursday night when they received a call about a domestic altercation. The victim told police that Hulsey had been intoxicated, struck her, and then hit her head on the counter several times.
Hulsey was additionally accused of pointing at .357 Magnum revolver at the victim’s head. The incident took place while a toddler was at the home and in front of the child, per the report.
Additionally, the victim told police that Hulsey had “gathered all of his guns into his truck before leaving the house” and took off from the residence, and they ultimately found him at the Marshall Street address.
Police noted they found .357 revolver in his truck. They did not note any other weapons in the report.
Hulsey is being held on charges of two counts of felony aggravated assault, felony terroristic threats and acts, and misdemeanor charges of cruelty to children in the third degree, battery, pointing or aiming gun or pistol at another and reckless conduct.
