A Rome man was jailed and remains in custody without any bond set after he was jailed by Polk County Police on charges of child molestation and sexual battery on Wednesday.

Daniel Lee Culberson, 46, of 109 Benton Drive NW, Rome, was taken into custody on Wednesday afternoon on the pair of felony charges.

Per Polk County Police Detective B. Brady, Culberson was accused by a youth under the age of 16 of inappropriate physical contact that started in September 2020 and continued until September 2021.

No further information was available about the case due to the nature of the incident.

Culberson was officially charged with felony sexual battery against child under 16 and child molestation.
