A man who had a warrant for aggravated assault was booked into the Polk County Jail three years after the incident occurred, reports stated.

Polk County Police initially took the report in late August 2021 after the victim claimed that Kevin Espinosa, 28, of a Decatur address, broke into his residence and assaulted him by striking him several times with a handgun during the middle of the night.

No arrest was made at the time after Espinosa was not located by officers.

He was taken into custody at the Sheriff’s Office more than three years after the incident on Wednesday evening, November 13.

Bond was not set as of this posting on the felony aggravated assault charge.
