He made it to Industrial Drive before police caught back up and pulled him over.
Per reports, West admitted to going through the light and turning while traffic was coming both ways, and police asked for his license, registration and insurance information.

Police noted that when he went looking, they saw bottles of “Blunt Spray” which they reported are used to cover the up the smell of marijuana. Despite the spray, police reported they smelled the drug in the car when backup arrived.
One of the officers asked West to step out of the car while the original officer who pulled him over came back to ask if West minded if officers searched the inside of his Cadillac. West relented and police began to look inside.
“While searching the interior of the vehicle, I discovered a backpack in the rear seat of the vehicle,” the report stated. “Inside of the backpack was approximately 74 grams of marijuana, 1 working digital scale, 1 marijuana grinder containing marijuana, and 3 boxes containing Ziploc bags (items collectively used in the sales/distribution of illegal narcotics.)”

Before he was taken off to jail, police also searched West and found $520 in cash, an iPhone 7 in his pockets. Officers also ultimately took blood samples from him as well.
Police took him onward to the Polk County Jail where he was booked and later released after two days in custody, per PCSO reports.
