
A Rockmart teen was booked into custody on Tuesday night after he was caught doing well over the speed limit on Highway 113 near Cantrell Road, according to reports.
Dalton Gene Williams, 18, of a Rockmart address, was booked into custody after he was caught going 97 mph in a 55 mph zone in a 2009 Honda Accord.
Williams was ready for officers with his license in hand when he was pulled over on Tuesday night around 9:50 p.m.
The officer asked Williams why he was speeding, and he told them that he was angry with his tattoo artist and was trying to get home.
PCPD took Williams into custody without further incident.
He was booked on misdemeanor charges of reckless driving and speeding in excess of maximum limits.
No immediate info about his bond was available from the Sheriff’s Office.
