A pair were jailed after they claimed each attached the other during an altercation in late June, per a Polk County Police report.
In the early morning hours of Thursday, June 29, Polk County Police were called out to a Potash Road address and found Cody Kim Parker, 29, and Melissa Wyatt, 34, both of the same address on Potash Road.
Per the report, Parker was outside when officers arrived and reported that Wyatt had cut him after arguing with each other all day.
Wyatt had slammed the door and went to hide when police showed up at the home. Officers had to force open the locked bathroom door to take her into custody when she refused to come out.
Police noted that while being taken to a squad car, she was “yelling and acting irate.”
While in the back of the car, Wyatt told police she was only defending herself against Parker after he “placed his hands on her around the neck area.”
Parker was then arrested as well. Both were taken to the Polk County Jail and “both subjects were yelling and irate.”
“It should be noted that this year alone, the Polk County Police Department has received approximately 7 calls of service descriptions Truble with subjects, Domestic, Threats occurring, and more,” the report also stated.
Both Parker and Wyatt were released on a $1,000 bond each on misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and disorderly house.
