REPORT: Woman booked on multiple drug charges following June overdose

A woman jailed on warrants remained in custody after being booked over the weekend months after suffering an overdose, according to reports.

Allysa Michelle Thrower, 28, of an Aragon address, was taken into custody by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office on Friday, September 13.

Per a PCPD report, Thrower was involved in a June overdose incident at her Aragon residence, and during that police found several items of contraband including pills, suspected cocaine and methamphetamine, and a prescription bottle.

Due to the drugs found, warrants were taken out for her arrest following the incident.

Thrower had told police at the time she admitted to using fentanyl. She had been found passed out at the time and paramedics were called and took her to Atrium Health Floyd Polk Medical Center for further treatment.

Charges included felonies for possession of cocaine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, possession of Controlled Substance with intent to distribute, a felony probation violation, a misdemeanor probation violation and drugs not in original container.

She remained in jail on a $19,000 bond as of this posting.
