REPORT: Woman denied bond following drug discovery amid traffic stop

Tiffany Nicole Williams

An officer spotted a pill bottle with marijuana inside and turned up more drugs in a woman’s possession during a Cedartown traffic stop on Wednesday, according to Polk County Police reports.

Tiffany Nicole Williams, 42, of a Rockmart address, was taken into custody on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges after being pulled over on Wednesday, July 3, at the intersection of Washington Street and South Main Street just before 2 a.m.

Per the report, Williams swerved twice in front of the officers while driving down South Main Street at Cason Road before she was stopped. When they came up to Williams’ vehicle, an officer immediately spotted an orange pill bottle with marijuana inside, which Williams admitted what it was and handed it over.

Due to the clutter inside of the truck, PCPD asked her if she had anything else inside and gave her a chance to turn it over before they had to go through the mess. Williams also admitted to having methamphetamine on her during the incident.

Police searched her bag and found the meth in four different bags, totaling around 10 grams in all. They also found a glass pipe, a single tablet of Clonazepam and a digital scale.

Due to the amount and the individual packaging, officers believe Williams was selling the drug, per the report.

Williams was denied bond on felony charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent, possession of tools for the commission of a crime and possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance. She also was charged with possession and use of drug-related objects and failure to maintain lane.

She remained in custody as of this posting.

Williams was previously arrested in late May 2023 on drug charges after she was booked for similar charges after she was found with a firearm, drugs and paraphernalia during an incident along with another woman.
