Report: Woman found with marijuana, ecstasy during Tuesday morning traffic stop

A Cedartown woman was jailed after police found marijuana and ecstasy during a Tuesday morning traffic stop in the middle of the county, Per the Polk County Police.

Police arrested 27-year-old Akeria Veshea Boozer of 136 N. Furnace St., Cedartown after she was pulled over at the intersection of Collard Valley Road and Fish Creek Road on Tuesday, September 13 at 10:04 a.m.

Details about the stop and Subsequent arrest were light in the report narrative, but the PCPD reporting officer did note a tally of drugs found in the 2016 Kia Soul.

Police confiscated 49.3 grams of marijuana spread between 4 different bags of the drug, along with 10 pills believed by police to be ecstasy.

Boozer was taken to the Polk County Jail, where she remained in custody on felony drug charges for possession of marijuana and ecstasy and an additional charge for intent to sell, along with a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug-related objects.

She remained in custody as of this posting on a $27,000 bond.
