A Cedartown woman was taken into custody and remained in the Polk County Jail with no bond set after she was found with less than $20 in items taken from Dollar General on South College Street and methamphetamine in her vehicle, according to Cedartown Police reports.
Per police, Brandy Bryant, 29, of 23 Oakwood Drive, Cedartown, was jailed on charges of possession and use of drug related objects, possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance and Theft by Shoplifting after reports stated she was found by officers in possession of a pair of slip on shoes and a pair of shorts taken from the Dollar General around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 16.
The report stated while officers were looking for other items potentially taken, they found a sunglass case that had a glass pipe with suspected meth residue. A field test of the substance on the pipe came back positive for methamphetamine.
