A Cedartown woman was booked into custody on Tuesday after she tried to use Polk County Police to falsely report child abuse and during that 911 call used abusive and foul language toward operators, per reports.
PCPD arrested Elena Wynn Cubillo, 53, of a Cedartown address, just over a year after she was arrested on multiple charges in a separate incident.
Reports stated Cubillo tried to call 911 to make a report about potential child abuse happening with her grandchild at an address in the area of Relay Road.
Police went to the residence to investigate the report, and found nothing wrong. The officer investigating had those who were called upon sign a witness statement saying nothing was wrong, and Cubillo was making a false report.
After leaving the Relay Road area, the officer got 911 to forward a recording of the call and listened into what Cubillo had said. The officer found that Cubillo was “had slurred speech and a constant change in emotions.”
“Towards the end of the phone call, Elena was heard screaming and cussing at the communications officer before the call taker could not listen to the call anymore and hung up the phone with Elena,” the report stated.
Police tried to get in touch with Cubillo by phone, and though she spoke with officers refused to say where she was at the time. The officer was able to track her down, and they went to a Cave Spring Road address where Cubillo was located and after briefly refusing to cooperate, police took her into custody.
Cubillo continued to cuss at officers and attempted to turn and walk away from the officers while in cuffs, and kept up her verbal tirade during her trip to the Polk County Jail.
She remained in the Polk County Jail on misdemeanor charges of unlawful conduct during 911 calls or contacts 911 with the intention to harass a communications officer, false report of a crime and obstructing law enforcement officers. Her bond was set at $3,000.
The arrest came just a year and a day after her previous arrests in May 2023. She was jailed twice within days on several charges following domestic incidents.
