A woman who got angry with a relative over her dog getting loose was jailed after they were struck with a leash several times while captured on video.

Jewliua Kuffel, 27, of a Cedartown address, was jailed on Tuesday morning, July 2, on a single charge of simple battery.

The misdemeanor charge came after Kuffel got into an altercation with a relative who was staying from out of town at a Sixth Street addres.

Police had been out prior to the assault over the ownership of a trailer, and then got physical after Kuffel told police that the relative was being evicted and that the relative “intentionally let her dog loose in the neighborhood.”

Kuffel also admitted to the assault with the dog leash, and the victim caught the incident on video and showed it to officers during their investigation.

Police took Kuffel into custody, and then warned the relative and “other residents” of charges that could come against them should their behavior continue to call law enforcement out to their home.

Kuffel was taken onward to the Polk County Jail where she was booked on the single misdemeanor charge.

She remained in custody on a $1,000 bond as of this posting.
