An altercation between a woman on Persons Road and another individual and their dog ended with an arrest on charges on Wednesday, according to reports.
Mary Lois Bobo Suttles, 57, of a Cedartown-area address, was jailed on Wednesday, May 22, after an altercation with a victim and their dog in her yard.
Per the report, the victim’s children had let the dog out to play in the yard when it got into Suttles’ yard. The victim went after it, but not before Suttles came out and took a shot in the dog’s direction with a .22 caliber pistol, and then was alleged during an altercation with the victim to have pointed it in their direction.
Several witnesses reported to police that Suttles had pointed the pistol at the victim after taking a shot at the dog.
Suttles told Polk County Police after the incident she had only meant to scare the dog, and claimed she never pointed the pistol at the victim, claiming it was “only a little silver .22 pistol,” per the report.
Per the report, after she was taken into custody police found that she had a warrant out for her arrest.
Suttles remained in the Polk County Jail as of this posting on misdemeanor charges of reckless conduct and two failure to appear warrants.
