Report: Woman jailed, man escapes officers after dog bite report gets PCPD involved

Taylor Marie Cason

An Aragon woman remained in jail and police are seeking the man she was with after an incident on Monday, according to reports from Polk County Police.

Officers arrested Taylor Marie Cason, 30, noted as homeless for her address, after police were called out to a Prospect Road home for a domestic incident that saw a woman bit on both legs by Cason’s dog. Cason and Jesse Aaron Hallmark, 31, fled the residence after the incident on Monday evening around 7 p.m.

Once officers got in touch with Cason, they attempted to get her to come back to the residence and talk to police about what happened, but as they waited for her to come out “for a long period of time.”

They finally decided to go looking, found their campsite, and then tracked them to the area of New Prospect Road and Waddell Circle and found the pair crossing the tracks.

They arrested Cason after she was found on the tracks while Hallmark fled into the wood line without her.

Police ultimately didn’t find Hallmark when searching the woods with a K-9 officer. He has active warrants for his arrest including new charges.

Bond hadn’t been set for Cason as of this posting. She was being held on charges of intruding on railroad tracks and obstructing law enforcement officers, both misdemeanors.
