REPORT: Woman jailed on disorderly conduct charge following argument

Mary Elysia Greenlee

Alcohol was alleged to have been blamed for an argument turning into an arrest on Friday night on Vinson Mountain, according to Polk County Police reports.

Mary Elysia Greenlee, 74, was taken into custody on Friday morning, March 15, after police arrived around 9 a.m. and found Greenlee and two others having argued.

All three alleged the other was the aggressor during the argument that was reported to have turned physical.

“It should be noted that as I was speaking to all three of them on scene that I could smell a very strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from each one and that they all admitted to drinking,” the reported also noted.

Greenlee was determined to be the main aggressor during the incident and was taken into custody.

She was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct and later released the same day from the Polk County Jail on a $500 bond.
