He took the time to invest in others, making a lasting impact on both his colleagues and the countless individuals whose lives he touched. His dedication to fostering a supportive environment for our officers, coupled with his advocacy for mental health awareness, has left a lasting legacy that will continue to inspire us all.

“The Polk County Police Department would like to extend our condolences to the Fuller family and the Rockmart Police Department for the passing of Assistant Chief Jonathan Fuller.

Chief Fuller was one of the good ones. Chief Fuller had a lifetime of service to our community, and was nearing retirement. Chief Fuller was always a phone call away for our officers, and was always willing to help us in any way possible. Chief Fuller was also a wealth of knowledge to younger officers.

Often times when reading these, we see the professional accolades outlined more so than anything. Above all of the professional achievements that he obtained, Chief Fuller was a family man first, both at work and at home. He was an amazing asset to our community, and truly embodied the life of a public servant. He will be dearly missed by all agencies in Polk County.

Please keep the Fuller family and our first responder family in your prayers.”
