Deadline to get applications in for annual parade due by November 20
The season to be jolly is right around the corner, and the City of Rockmart will be bringing Santa Claus back downtown for their 2021 parade from City Hall to the Christmas tree on South Marble Street through downtown Rockmart.
Parade spectators will want to find a spot before the event kicks off this year on Thursday, December 2 at 6 p.m. for the “Celebration of Christmas,” which is this year’s theme.
Those who want to participate and be a part of the parade lineup this year will be able to enter in three different categories for non-floats and floats.
Non-profits, Schools, Clubs, and Churches are invited to enter this year as well as commercial businesses who want to participate as well.
Immediately following the parade, the Rockmart Fire Department will stop with Santa Claus at the Rockmart History Museum to light the Rockmart Christmas tree. Santa will meet and greet with kids of all ages and businesses will be open late this night.
