Officials joined with local residents in getting to work in Rockmart and helping clean up local neighborhoods and streets amid a perfect fall day to close out the month of October.

Mayor Sherman Ross and Council Member Marty Robinson were among city officials who took part in cleanup efforts this weekend, along with youth who lent a hand by donning gloves and taking up shovels to get debris off the side of the street.

The previous attempts to hold the Communitywide Cleanup earlier in the month of October was delayed due to wet weather on October 10.
