The moms who began the effort to keep themselves sane through good coffee over the weekend celebrated their first anniversary in business from humble beginnings. Once upon a time they were in a converted RV.

Now they are in two physical locations in Polk County – one in Cedartown on East Avenue, and a second opened officially on Monday morning in Rockmart.

Owners Halie Parker and Jessica Ellington have only had their Cedartown location open since May and are now expanding their love for coffee with the community after a positive opening day on Monday.

This first week the new storefront on South Marble Street – complete with comfortable spots to stop in and sit as well – is open from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Thursday.

The full schedule will begin this coming week with hours set for Monday through Fridays 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturdays 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

They took over the former home of South Marble Coffee at 215 S. Marble St., Rockmart, and in recent months have transformed the interior into a more modest space but able to cater to customers needs with many coffee and tea options whether they be hot or cold.

This past weekend, the pair hosted a celebratory first anniversary festival at the Cedartown location on East Avenue.

Sanity Coffee Co.’s local growth comes just as a region franchise chain opened their second location in Polk County as well. Ellianos opened in 2021 in Rockmart, and opened officially on Sept. 30 in Cedartown after more than a year since the property was purchased next to Regions Bank.
