Over the weekend, volunteers helping Keep Polk Beautiful and the Silver Comet Trail Rangers made sure another section of the Silver Comet was cleaned up for visitors and residents to enjoy.

The area around mile marker 37 got trees, bushes and grass trimmed and trash collected in a joint effort between the two organizations this week.

It is the latest effort of local organizations to keep the Silver Comet Trail around the Rockmart area looking good for all who utilize the trail, from daily walkers to cyclists visiting from out of town.
