A group of scouts got to take part in the Rockmart City Council meeting on Tuesday evening.

Scouts came to the front as a group and saluted the star spangled banner hanging next to the seal as the lead the audience and council in the pledge of allegiance to open the Rockmart City Council’s November regular session.

Mayor Sherman Ross took questions from local members of Troop 32 in as they stood on the steps of city hall on Tuesday ahead of the start of the Rockmart City Council meeting.

The troop additionally sat in on the session to learn about the process by which local government makes decisions.
