Second Trail Rangers meeting coming up on Thursday

A second meeting is coming up this Thursday to further discuss the need for Trail Rangers to help keep the Silver Comet Trail tidy for local residents and visitors alike.

The meeting being organized by Keep Polk Beautiful and the City of Rockmart is seeking volunteers to help keep sections of the trail clean in the community, and take part in other ways that will help the Silver Comet Trail’s greater use in the community.

Anyone interested is asked to gather at 6 p.m. on Feb. 18 at the meeting room within the trailhead at Seaborn Jones Park.

“We will be targeting places on the trail to improve, promoting weekly community rides and walks, and much more,” Cook said.

For more information contact Cook at Keep Polk Beautiful at 678-246-1083 or e-mail rcook@cedartowngeorgia.gov.
