The Rockmart Yellow Jackets are getting primed and ready to go for the 2020 season, and already the expectations for players on the team are being set as four different members of the team made it to Recruit Georgia’s annual pre-season all-state list for Class AAA.

Rockmart, who moves into a new classification and region this year, saw all-around athlete Javin Whatley named to the offensive squad, Jojo Haynes make it onto the defensive list, and two honorable mentions in Sherman Davis and Jykel Baldwin.

The four were included in the list released from Recruit Georgia today. They have not yet released a 4-A list for 2020, but expect at least one notable Cedartown Bulldog on the list for the coming season.

Rockmart opens their season against the Rome Wolves at Barron Stadium on Sept. 4, unless otherwise noted ahead of time.
