First time applicants or only applied within the last six years and weren’t accepted are being considered for this year’s Toys Express campaign.
All applications must be filled out in person at the Sheriff’s Office for consideration for participation in the program. Officials from the Sheriff’s Office will notify those accepted into Toys Express this year once their application has been accepted.
This year, the Sheriff’s Office is planning to focus their efforts on ensuring that children as young as infants up to the age of 12 in order to better serve families in the community with the resources available to the program.
“We truly appreciate the efforts of the community to provide help for families during the holiday so they don’t have to do without when Christmas morning comes,” said Major Rachel Haddix, one of several Sheriff’s Office employees who annually help with the program. “Please remember those who are in need when you’re out Christmas shopping this month for gifts. Even a small toy donation can make a huge difference in the life of a child during the holiday season.”

Anyone interested in making a donation can provide one year round, but to be included this year’s round up of toys and gifts be sure to have placed a gift in one of the drop boxes by December 13.
Local businesses or organizations that are interested in hosting a drop box can reach out to the Sheriff’s Office for more information about having one delivered.
