Cedartown and Rockmart High annually honors students with the top test scores with the STAR Student Awards, and this year’s recipients represent some of the top talents in both schools.
Maddox Minge at Cedartown High and Colby Wilson at Rockmart High School had the highest SAT scores for the Class of 2025, and were honored as this year’s recipients for the STAR Program.
They get to choose a STAR teacher to represent their school alongside them – and later after a district winner moves forward to regional and state-level competition.
Minge picked Jennifer Cupp for Cedartown – who has been a STAR teacher for several past recipients – and Wilson chose Nikki Worrell as the STAR Teacher for Rockmart.
PSD announced the recipients for the two schools on Wednesday.
