The Polk County Board of Education held their first work session of 2025 on January 7 at 4 p.m. in the Board Meeting Room at the Central Office in Cedartown.
Board members chose Britt Madden as the chair, and Judi Renshaw to serve as Vice Chair in taking up action items during the work session. They also approved seeking a ballot initiative to go before voters to ask whether they will agree to a 1 mill collection for up to 20 years to pay back the sale of $34 million in bonds for school improvement costs.
