After a devastating weekend for the Sanders family, the community is stepping up to help the owners of Pizza Farm get the restaurant back up and running as soon as possible.

Early Saturday morning, a fire destroyed the Rockmart-area restaurant that was a favorite to many with no new details yet available about what started the blaze.

However, the first step in getting Pizza Farm back up and running as soon as possible is to have funds to begin cleanup of the site and construction. And a business on the other side of the county is stepping up in a neighborly way to help.

Cedarstream is hosting a fundraiser for helping Pizza Farm get back up and running as soon as possible, selling t-shirts, long sleeve tees and a hoodie with the iconic logo on the front and #pizzafarmstrong on the back. Prices range from $18 to $25, and proceeds will go toward helping the Sanders family rebuild.

The fundraiser underway now and lasting for the next six days has already raised $1,480. The sale ends on Jan. 17.
