Taco Man moves indoors in new Cedartown location

From a restaurant on wheels to a home base, a local business celebrated recent growth this morning.

Local officials joined the staff at Taco Man on Thursday morning to hold a ribbon cutting ceremony the start of a new chapter for the Cedartown restaurant.

What once began as a truck has now grown into a spacious new restaurant location, and not far from where they previously served customers.

Everything that was on the menu for the popular food truck in Cedartown is included in the sit down location, plus some new items that were previously unavailable.

Additionally after seeking an alcohol pouring license over the summer months, Taco Man will be providing adult beverages to patrons who are over 21.

After this morning’s ribbon cutting ceremony with the Polk County Chamber of Commerce, Taco Man is now open at 11 a.m. for customers.

Work began in April on bringing Taco Man indoors for a sit-down experience, per Honorio Cornejo. The new spacious and colorful interior of what was several years ago a southern buffet experience now brings a completely different style of cuisine that is inspired by the flavors found south of the border.

The food truck isn’t going to sit around forever. Plans are to bring it back into action in 2024. Cornejo said they expect start utilizing the Taco Man truck on weekends for events and catering opportunities in January.

Here’s a look at what the menu offers:
