All three of Polk County’s cities have joined in the effort to ring in the holidays on Christmas Eve and spread the magic of the season.
The Council gave their favor to the proclamation entered into the record marking December 24 as Ring the Bell Day in Aragon, and residents are being asked to join with the rest of the cities and county to come out and ring a bell for two minutes at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve, and stay out on front porches and steps to sing Christmas Carols.
Inspired by a post she saw online, Jannah Sorrell has promoted the effort by going before the City of Rockmart and the City of Cedartown during their recent December meetings and seeking their support for the bell-ringing idea.
The City of Aragon joined in during their December session of the City Council on Thursday evening.
Here’s more info about the bell-ringing effort.
