A late afternoon wreck is still in the process of being cleaned up on the Highway 27 bypass at Collard Valley Road in Cedartown, and involves at least three vehicles according to local police.

Cedartown Police Chief Jamie Newsome reported that at least three vehicles were involved in the wreck that occurred around 4 p.m., involving a late model SUV, a passenger car that is completely totaled, and a third vehicle that was “grazed” in the incident.

Further details are not yet available about the conditions of all those involved.

Cedartown Police are asking that drivers detour around the area for the time being.

Georgia State Patrol has been called out to investigate the wreck further.
