The Polk County Chamber of Commerce joined with family, friends and local officials Thursday during the noon hour to celebrate the opening of a new gym on Main Street in downtown Cedartown.

Tone Zone owner Neidra Chubb opened the doors to the gym at 224 Main St., Cedartown back on October 2, but finally got to celebrate with the Chamber, officials from the city and family and friends on Thursday at noon with a ribbon cutting event.

The gym – formerly the home of Studio Fit – offers a variety of services including Yoga classes, bootcamp and fitness classes, a range of equipment for workouts, and more.

She said during the ceremony that her goal for Tone Zone was to offer a different fitness experience for the community not just by focusing on a gym-style atmosphere, but having opportunities like Yoga classes that set it apart from others available for workouts.

Who else was on hand for the event? Cedartown’s own homegrown hero and Cleveland Brown Nick Chubb.

The Browns star running back has recovered from injuries sustained on the field early in the 2023 season, already putting up a touchdown and more than 100 yards of offense for his comeback midway through the 2024 season.

He’s been a longtime supporter of Neidra’s Moms United organization and events surrounding it, and continues that support with taking a break from the team during a bye week visit home from Ohio.
